Invasive Species Info

The week of February 23rd is Invasive Species Awareness week!  Over the years, Canadarago Lake has been invaded by nuisance plants like Curly Leaf Pondweed, Eurasian Watermilfoil, and Starry Stonewort, as well as animals like Zebra Mussels and Alewives.  Want to learn more about them?  Click on the each name for a link!  Wonder how all these nuisances got here?  Take a look at this MAP from only 2014 of all the different water bodies that people launching at the boat launch came from.  Each boat from a different water body may bring a new set of invasive species to our lake.  This is why our Lake Steward Program is so important in protecting our lake!
